1. Define Villanelle

We will be reading, understanding, and synthesizing a definition of villanelles.

 

2. Read/Listen to Villanelles

We will be reading and listening to five villanelles by various writers and voicing our thoughts and ideas about these poems.

 

3. Find a Song

We will be finding a song that, in some way, represents the same tonal qualities of a villanelle.

 

4. Think About Villanelles

We will be seeking to understand the purpose and meaning of villanelles, and expressing our thoughts and ideas about villanelles.

We will be using our new knowledge and understanding of villanelles to try out composing our own villanelles.
